Islamic Studies 2025/26
Wednesdays, 6:00pm-7:00pm
We use the Islamic Studies curriculum from Weekend Learning Publishers, covering broad aspects of Islam based on the Qur'an and authentic Hadith.
The curriculum is systematically organised to meet the needs of a supplementary school and is tailored by age, grade, and learning level. Some topics are revisited in multiple grades for varied perspectives and added emphasis.
We currently offer Levels 1 to 7 from the series, summarized below:
Level 1️⃣ Core beliefs & practices of Islam, stories of prophets, and Islamic values.
Level 2️⃣ Recognize the blessings of Allah ﷻ, steps to prayer, more stories of prophets, and core values.
Level 3️⃣ Learn about tawhid, delve deeper into the pillars of Islam, stories of prophets, Muslim personalities and Islamic values.
Level 4️⃣ Know the names of Allah ﷻ, fiqh of salah, lives of prophets, Rasulullah ﷺ in Makkah, and the rightly guided khalifahs.
Level 5️⃣ Develop an analytical view of Islamic beliefs, practices, and values. Learn from the lives of other prophets and the life of Rasulullah ﷺ in Madinah.
Level 6️⃣ Understand beliefs in detail, study Qur’anic stories, great Muslimahs, and discuss modern challenges.
Level 7️⃣ Relate beliefs and Qur’anic stories to modern life and reinforce key Islamic values.
We employ a diverse a variety of teaching and learning strategies to create an inclusive environment.
Our approach includes:
📖 Providing a physical copy of the textbook to every student
💻 Incorporating interactive presentations to enrich lessons
🗣️ Encouraging discussions in lessons to enhance understanding
❓Offering quizzes for each lesson to promote critical thinking
Our ultimate goal is to integrate Islamic teachings into students' daily lives and help them live by these values as they grow.
